Starting Spring 2015, STUDIO SHIKUMI INC. will be releasing the “Weekly Tea Ceremony Room” product package, which enables anyone to assemble a tea ceremony room within their own home using materials delivered on a regular basis.
Easily make your creations even without any knowledge of Sado (Japanese tea ceremony) or design techniques simply by following the steps from our supporting web magazine. It brings out the traditional “tea room” handed down through generations together with hand-made tea right into your very own home.
  
Have a taste of Japanese Design ingenuity, Quality, and Culture

The “Weekly Tea Ceremony Room” is a two-tatami sized modern tearoom with a “wabi-sabi” feel. “Wabi-sabi” is defined as the Japanese view on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The tearoom comes with a quaint ceiling and allows tea ceremonies to be performed on the furnace’s space. Invite guests or gather together with the family for a relaxing cup of tea from the comfort of your own home.

Materials are selected from the finest cedar and pine. Assemble the pillars, walls, ceiling, tatami mats, and upholstery to complete your very own tearoom within a year’s time!
