Presenting Distributed In-Memory DB “SnowDB”
Real-Time High-Speed Data Management

TOKYO SoftGear announces the distributed in-memory database “SnowDB”, a fast and flexible solution to data management.

Development Background
For cloud-centric businesses, a fast and easy-to-use service capable of handling large amounts of data has become crucial to business success.
In-Memory Databases and Distributed Databases have been gaining attention as a solution to the constant updates to large amounts of data.
The distributed in-memory database SnowDB was developed to not only incorporate the speed advantage of in-memory databases, but to simultaneously address the issue of scalability.

SnowDB
SnowDB is a distributed in-memory database capable of managing dynamically increasing data as well as providing high-speed search functionality. It offers an effective solution by combining in memory data storage and clustering, giving it high-speed processing and transparent data management capabilities.
We expect SnowDB to be used in situations where data is constantly increasing or exceptional response times are required, such as in online games.

■High-Speed Data Access
・KVS Distributed In-Memory Database
・High-speed access to stored data through use of Key-Value pairs
■Scalable Dynamic Clustering
・Cluster formed by multiple nodes
・Data is split into partitions based on keys, and decreases the load by managing the data across multiple nodes.
・Automated partitioning
・Nodes can be added to the cluster after deployment for easy scaling
■Object Management with Replication
・Reduce the effect of node failure on a service by maintaining copies of a partition across multiple nodes.
■Specifications
Supported Platforms : Windows, Linux
Supported Languages : C++

Trial Version
With the beta release of SnowDB、we will be offering a trial version for a limited 20 customers. The application deadline is February 28, and upon strict examination of the applicants, trial license distribution will commence in March. Customers who wish to apply can apply through the contact form on the SnowDB official website.
