Cookbiz Co.,Ltd. Releases SNS App “Foodion” Android Version to Connect Chefs, Cooks Worldwide

Cookbiz Co.,Ltd.

The app is designed to link chefs, cooks and students aiming to become food specialists

Cookbiz Co.,Ltd. made “Foodion” available in the Android version on September 12 in addition to the iPhone version that was released last December.

The SNS application aims to facilitate food professionals to report daily events and menus casually, share information, and develop mutual connections. “Foodion” is accessible to anyone who is interested in food or desires to communicate with chefs in any country on earth, for instance.

The iPhone version has been subscribed by more than 10,000 people, 80% of whom are chefs and cooks, over the past nine months since its inauguration.

“Foodion” users post reports on their dishes, services, or records of eating around, for example. Many of them give "nice" or "share" remarks to entries of other users.

The United States accounts for the greatest number of subscribers of the iPhone version, followed by Mexico, Canada, Britain, and France.

About 20% of subscribers are cooking in restaurants overseas. Online access from abroad has more than doubled month-over-month since last December. Cookbiz Co.,Ltd. believes that it can boost the number of subscribers with the launch of the Android version because Android earns a great share overseas.

“Cookbiz Co.,Ltd. is determined to create a platform for those professionals who are pursuing innovative dietary culture”, says a CEO Kenji Yabuno. “The company will contribute to the development of the food industry by realizing its vision of raising the popularity of the industry”, he added.
